ビールケースの魅力を最大限に活かす「必要に応じて機能する」家具。居酒屋の椅子、路地裏にある植木鉢の土台など街の風景と化したマルチに活躍するケースに、手を加えることで価値や実用性を高めた新しい道具が生まれた。 飲料メーカーごと異なる色やロゴに合わせる素材として竹集成材を使用した。真っ直ぐで細かな繊維は美しく、無機質なケース素材との相性も良く邪魔をしない。家具としての機能を考慮しながら、返却可能なようにケースには加工はしないことを心がけた。場所、状況によって機能する、人が少し興味を持つ楽しげな家具の提案。
Furniture that “functions as needed” to maximize the appeal of beer cases. A new tool was created by enhancing the value and practicality of a multi-purpose case that has become a part of the cityscape, such as a chair in a pub or the base of a flowerpot in a back alley, by modifying it. Laminated bamboo was used as the material to match the different colors and logos of each beverage manufacturer. The straight, fine fibers are beautiful and do not interfere with the inorganic material of the case. While considering the function of the case as a piece of furniture, we tried not to modify the case so that it could be returned. We proposed a fun piece of furniture that functions depending on the location and situation, and that people might find a little interesting.
