In Kawawada, Sabae City, a town of lacquerware and wood fabrics. Echizen lacquerware has long been a part of our daily lives, making up the majority of the soup bowls on our tables, but in recent years its production value and the number of employees have been declining. TSUM” is an effort to pass on the accumulated skills of Echizen lacquerware craftsmen to the future by using paints with reduced environmental impact and replacing the familiar shapes that remain in Fukui with new lifestyles. The three shapes, two heights, and three color variations can be enjoyed in combination with each other. The lacquerware can be used in a variety of ways, changing its role to suit the place and scene of use, and gently accompanying you in your daily life.
